Phoenix developer fed up with city planning team; unveils his final project

Mark Doerflein, co-founder of Phoenix-based MAK Homes, says he’s fed up with the city of Phoenix Planning and Development Department.

After investing upward of $7 million in development costs, models are ready to open later this month at his new community in south Phoenix called Heard Farm. Even so, Doerflein said he is selling two other parcels nearby because he said he never wants to do business with the city of Phoenix again.
