Queen Creek’s coffers are getting a bit fuller this fiscal year thanks to population growth and a strong economy.
According to a town official, Queen Creek’s fiscal year 2021-22 operating budget has increased from $96.7 million to $106.3 million.
Driving the growth are an increasing population, more businesses and sales taxes, city officials said.

Revenue projections during the next five years are expected to rise from $106.3 million this fiscal year to $158.4 million in fiscal year 2026-27. Meanwhile, Queen Creek’s population is expected to grow from 71,850 in 2022 to 116,900 in 2030. Single-family and multifamily buildout is expected when the population reaches 150,000, according to city data.
