City staff have taken issue with some of the design elements for a proposed 582-unit apartment complex with 17,000 square feet of commercial space located near the intersection of Camelback and N. Hayden roads.
The apartments would be in two four-story buildings with commercial property on the ground floor of the residential buildings in the first phase of the development named Gentry on the Green.
“Staff has completed the first review of the submitted development application and has identified some concerns associated with the building design and architecture, as it relates to the city’s development review board criteria and sensitive design principles,” a staff memorandum states.
