After a lengthy and thorough search process for a new town manager, the Wickenburg Town Council has decided to relaunch the search. The decision was made during a special meeting on Tuesday afternoon, according to a media release issued by the Town Thursday morning.
With the help from SGR, the recruiting firm assisting the council with the process, the council reviewed nearly 40 applications. That number was narrowed to 12 and then to six. Eventually, the number was reduced to three after three of the six finalists accepted positions with other municipalities. Council offered the position to one of the finalists, but ultimately could not come to terms on a contract, according to the release.
