Opinion: The political stupidity of the lawsuit by the Arizona Republican Party to get mail ballots declared unconstitutional is difficult to overstate.

The dissatisfaction with Joe Biden’s presidency is deep and wide. It is driven by factors likely to endure through the election.
From the State of the Union address, there is little indication of an intent by the Biden administration to change course. In fact, there was a doubling-down on an agenda that stalled in the Senate and failed to generate much enthusiasm within the body politic.
In politics, it is sometimes enough to just be the other guy. If the election is principally a referendum on Biden and his presidency, this is probably one of those times.
However, at some point swing voters may get around to asking: What exactly are we buying if we vote Republican?
For Republican prospects, that’s an increasingly vexing question.
