Eloy council starts negotiations for new city manager

ELOY — Since previous City Manager Harvey Krauss announced his retirement in November, the Eloy City Council has taken its time making a decision on who will be his replacement.

At Monday’s council meeting, the members voted unanimously to begin negotiations with Acting City Manager David Malewitz.

Malewitz served as Krauss’ assistant city manager. After Krauss announced his retirement, Malewitz stepped in to be the acting city manager while the council began searching for someone to take the official title.
