FLORENCE — Florence’s latest citizen survey concluded residents enjoy a high quality of life and a strong sense of safety. About eight in 10 rated the town highly as a place to live and a place to retire.
About 68% strongly support, and another 27% somewhat support, requiring the town manager and department managers to live in the town planning area, while exempting current employees in these positions.
Another finding is that residents “appreciate various aspects of local leadership,” the Town Council was told. Jade Arocha with Polco community surveys summarized the findings Monday. It is the town’s first survey using Polco, to hear how the local resident satisfaction compares to national benchmarks.
