Baseball is back.
Valley baseball fans get to revel in the fact that they won’t be denied a taste of a Cactus League tradition in 2022 after Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association reached an agreement last week effectively ending this year’s lockout.
But some city officials are disappointed games are starting nearly three weeks late.
Cactus league games were scheduled to start Saturday, Feb. 26. Now, the season will start tomorrow, Thursday, March 17.
Games will be played from Thursday, March 17, through Tuesday, April 5.
