FLORENCE — Rather than renovate and expand Pinal County’s aging office buildings off Pinal Street, a consultant proposed constructing a large new three-story building in two phases and razing the old structures as they’re vacated.
The Board of Supervisors, however, was cautious on March 9. Vice Chairman Jeff Serdy, R-Apache Junction, said the board needed more options, “four or five different scenarios instead of all or nothing.” He also objected to the idea of county offices vacating the historic Second Courthouse in 10 years or so.
