Sun City Festival residents picket over tee times, other concerns over amenities

Sun City Festival residents stood in front of the sales office carrying signs that said “Golf tee times, good luck” and “Many amenities at capacity now.”

Victoria Slama, a 74-year old registered nurse, was among them.

She bought her “forever place” at the 55-and-over community with high expectations being part of a Del Webb Community, but she’s disappointed with what she views as a lack of amenities by the developer.
Pulte Group opened Sun City Festival in north Buckeye in 2006 as a branch of the popular Del Webb retirement community. The Atlanta-based homebuilder had acquired the well-known Del Webb brand about five years earlier.
