CASA GRANDE — The proposed budget for the 2023 fiscal year will feature the largest-ever amount spent on capital works in a growing Casa Grande, City Manager Larry Rains said.
“What our residents are going to see is a heavy emphasis on capital improvement, on infrastructure projects. In fact there is 121 million dollars worth of capital improvement projects that are budgeted for 2023. That is by far the largest improvement plan that the mayor and council has ever considered in Casa Grande,” Rains said.
The 2023 budget documents forecast expenditures to total approximately $252 million, a decrease of some $30 million compared to 2022. Rains said bond proceeds contributed to the decrease.
