CASA GRANDE — Discontent and anger were shown at the Casa Grande Planning and Zoning Commission meeting on Thursday evening as the panel recommended dropping the age restriction on a midtown development.
Angry residents accused a local developer of “bait and switch” with regards to a proposed removal of age limits in the over-55 community near O’Neil Park.
The 42.3-acre Spanish Trails planned area development is located in the area of O’Neil Drive, Casa Grande Avenue and Viola Street. The development was given approval by the City Council in 2019 as an “active adult 55-and-over community.”
