Developer looks to bring apartments, mixed-use to dormant Blue Sky parcel in Scottsdale

ZOM Living (Jason Haun and Nick Rahman) have submitted additional plans with the City of Scottsdale for a proposed 373-unit apartment complex along with 13,650 square feet of commercial space at a long vacant prime parcel near Scottsdale Road and Camelback Road.

Scottsdale-based ZOM is proposing a mixed-used, multifamily development called Hazel & Azure.

The developer submitted plans for the new project on a 3.73 parcel across from the Scottsdale Fashion Square. The property was previously slated to become a 700-unit multifamily project called Blue Sky.

That effort never came to fruition and now ZOM is seeking site and other plan approvals for a two building project.

The developer has put forward for one 83-foot tall building and one 127-foot tall building. Plans were first submitted in October and have put forward additional plans.

CallisonRTKL Inc. of Dallas is providing architectural and design services for the new development. Floor Associates is doing the landscape architecture and Lokahi, LLC traffic consulting services for ZOM.
