More than 20,000 homes and 20 million square feet of industrial space are underway in a Valley city that was once considered too far west for many businesses.

With its proximity to California and the expansion of key freeways such as the Loop 303 and Interstate 10, the city of Buckeye has in recent years become a focal point for developers and companies leaving the Golden State, according to industry experts.
