CG commission approves projects that would add thousands of homes

CASA GRANDE — The trend of more housing construction for the local area is set to continue after a series of recommendations for developments were approved by the Casa Grande Planning and Zoning Commission Thursday evening.

Subject to City Council approval, four housing development projects with a combined total of almost 2,000 houses would be built. The mixture of new residences would be a combination of multifamily and single-family homes.

The first of the developments seeking recommendation approval was from Mesa-based EPS Group, an engineering, landscape architecture and planning consultant. The company is seeking approval to create over 1,000 single-family lots in an area generally bounded by Rodeo, Arizola and Peart roads, and also in the area of Val Vista Boulevard and Trekell Road.
