Maricopa County board approves plats for housing development

Amid all of last week’s discussion of past and future elections in Maricopa County, the county’s Board of Supervisors also approved a major housing development at a regular meeting.

Without discussion, the board unanimously approved final plats for three phases of a housing development known as Granite Vista.

Located near the southwest corner of Olive Avenue and Cotton Lane, the three phases are a short distance west of Loop 303.

The three phases don’t have a total acreage or square footage listed in staff documents. The already-developed area, which still includes some farm land, is in an unincorporated area of Waddell near Glendale’s western city limits.
