Austin, Texas-based Sparrow Partners has closed on an 8.5-acre parcel in Queen Creek, with plans to build a $54 million active adult community.
The 199-unit 55-plus community at the northwest corner of Ironwood and Ocotillo roads will be Sparrow’s seventh facility in the Valley, but its first in Queen Creek, said Pat Helgeson, senior director of development for Sparrow Partners.
Amberlin Queen Creek will open in August 2023, with pre-leasing beginning this fall, Helgeson said. It will include a 10,000-square-foot wellness and fitness studio, club room lounge and community kitchen with coffee bar and wine cooler.
