Phoenix launches new customer portal for single-family permit application process

The city of Phoenix is rolling out a new process for single-family homebuilding permits, updating an antiquated program to the tune of $32 million.

Called Shape Phx, the new Land Management Information System initially will focus on single-family residential construction permits, from homeowners renovating their homes to homebuilders building new homes across Phoenix. Its first day of operation was June 6, putting the city in a better position to facilitate growth and support residents with their planning and development needs.
