Taylor Morrison scales build-to-rent joint venture, closes on Valley land

Scottsdale-based Taylor Morrison Home Corp. (NYSE: TMHC) and Minneapolis-based Varde Partners have purchased land in four states, including Arizona, as they move forward on their $850 million build-to-rent joint venture.

Last month, the Scottsdale homebuilder and the investment firm launched an $850 million joint venture to develop rental properties as part of Taylor Morrison’ build-to-rent efforts. It is funded 60% by Varde Partners and 40% by Taylor Morrison. Mesa-based Christopher Todd Communities will brand and manage the properties.
