Vicki Hunt

What do you believe are the three most important issues facing the city of Peoria?

I am the only candidate with experience in understanding the needs of our unique community and can balance our local priorities while ensuring that the city as a whole remains safe and economically successful. I have a proven track record of accomplishments on the key issues facing Peoria:

  1. Supporting Public Safety – During my time on council, we enhanced the successful community paramedicine program, added Rescue 194 bringing a total of five ambulances to Peoria, and invested in body cameras for all police officers. We also secured new vehicles and equipment for public safety, code enforcement and parks personnel. In addition, we added School Resource Officers, launched a dedicated homeless outreach effort, and added a misdemeanor repeat offender program. I am committed to ensuring that public safety have the resources they need to keep our community safe and am proud to be endorsed by the Professional Fire Fighters of Arizona. As soon as we have the manpower in our police department, I will work to re-establish our neighborhood policing.
