A master planned community of Blossom Rock with 1,245 homes is to be constructed in the southern part of Apache Junction.

The city council on July 19 voted 6-0 to approve five final plats for the residential subdivisions in a consent agenda with other items. Councilmember Bambi Johnson was absent.

“The five final plats consist of Blossom Rock Phase 1, Blossom Rock Phase 2, final plat for infrastructure for Blossom Rock Trail, final plat for infrastructure for Ray Avenue and the final plat for infrastructure for Ironwood Drive,” Planner Sidney Urias said at a July 18 council work session.

The property is between Warner Road and Ray Avenue, and Ironwood Drive to Idaho Road. Blossom Rock Trail, a new north-south roadway, will be between phases 1 and 2.
