COOLIDGE — Just a couple of weeks ago, ground was broken on roadway improvements to Coolidge officials’ prized industrial project, Inland Port Arizona. Now, companies are lining up to guarantee a spot on the 2,700 acres of real estate along State Route 87, offering up easy access to both the railway system and Interstate 10.
At the July 6 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, commissioners assessed three different major site plan applications submitted for the Inland Port area over three hours that evening.
The interested companies include NRS Logistics, a global petrochemical and pharmaceutical product distributor for semiconductor and electric vehicle industries; Crest Park Ventures, a Dallas-based developer interested in opening a commerce park in the area; as well as the owners of Inland Port themselves, Saint Holdings LLC, with plans of constructing a 1.29 million-square-foot warehouse to lease out to interested tenants.
