A 1,000-home development as part of the Algodón Center in southwest Phoenix has been delayed in the site plan approval process.
The Lennar Homes development team needs to submit a traffic impact analysis, a master street plan and water and wastewater master plans as well as seek special approvals for parts of the plan regarding lot size and density.
The time extension for preliminary site plan approval granted by the city Monday allows for up to 180 days for the development team to submit these documents, but Chris Clonts, vice president of land for Lennar, said it should be soon.
“We’re really close, we’re just not there yet,” he said.
