Solvay Corp. Inc. recently unveiled plans to build a $60 million chemical plant to support the semiconductor industry in Arizona.
Solvay said it will build a new facility to supply the growing U.S. semiconductor manufacturing industry with electronic grade hydrogen peroxide in Casa Grande. The new plant will convert hydrogen peroxide into an ultra-high purity grade to clean silicon wafers needed to make semiconductors. The company declined to provide additional details about the plant.
