Kari Lake shows an America First endorsement signed by Donald Trump/Campaign photo
Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey has thrown his hat in the ring for Republican gubernatorial primary winner Kari Lake, despite endorsing her opponent, Karrin Taylor-Robson throughout the campaign.
“As co-chairman of the Republican Governors Association, our organization is already active on the airwaves supporting Kari Lake’s candidacy,” Ducey said in a series of tweets on Saturday.
Lake was firmly backed by former President Donald Trump, U.S. Rep Paul Gosar, the Conservative Political Action Coalition and the Arizona Fraternal Order of Police.

Her opponent, Taylor Robson was backed by Ducey, former Vice President Mike Pence and gubernatorial dropout candidate Matt Salmon, formerly of the U.S. House of Representatives.
The primary was a big day for Trump-backed candidates in Arizona as Arizona Secretary of State candidate Mark Finchem and U.S. Senate candidate Blake Masters both secured wins following endorsements from the former president.
Now, it appears the rest of the party is planning to pivot and rally behind the Trump-backed winners.
