Poll: Lake with squeaker of a lead

The Yellow Sheet

A new poll of the Arizona gubernatorial race puts Republican Kari Lake just a nose ahead of Hobbs, with a 0.7% lead. The survey from GOP firm Trafalgar Group has Lake at 46.5%, over Hobbs at 45.8%.  Another 5.1% of respondents were undecided, and 2.6% picked Libertarian candidate Barry Hess, who won’t appear on the ballot.

The poll was conducted from Aug. 24-27 and surveyed 1,074 likely voters. It has a margin of error of +/- 2.9%.

The poll is the second by a conservative outlet to find the race is tight. Earlier this month, a poll commissioned by Fox News from BCR Research and Shaw & Company gave Hobbs a 47% to 44% lead over Lake.
