Residential units eyed for McCormick Ranch office complex

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

New residential units could be added to a commercial office complex in Scottsdale near Scottsdale Road and McCormick Parkway.

Plans have been filed with the City of Scottsdale to rezone the commercial office property at 7400 East McCormick Parkway to turn an existing office building into four residential units.

The property’s owner (Phoenix Dragon GE LLC) is asking the city for a rezoning and land-use change for the 1.86-acre site.

The city is being asked to change the zoning from Commercial Office (C-O) to Neighborhood Commercial (C-1) to allow for new residential dwelling units.

Plans call for four units in one of the properties’ existing buildings while two other buildings will remain for office and commercial uses.

The two other buildings total a combined 5,797 square feet, according to plans filed with the city.

The Scottsdale complex was first built in 1986.
