Opinion: Recent revelations about Doug Logan (photo) make it more important than ever that Senate President Karen Fann be ordered to turn over records about the election audit.

Just when you think Senate President Karen Fann and her silly election audit could not look any more foolish …
… Along comes a report that her “independent” auditor, Doug Logan, was working with Donald Trump’s legal team to overturn the 2020 election results in several swing states.
This, even as Fann was hiring him to conduct a supposedly independent audit of Maricopa County’s election results.
Now Fann’s auditor is under criminal investigation, accused of illegally breaking into voting machines in Michigan in April 2021 as part of a plot to prove the election was rigged.
Meanwhile, the Washington Post reports newly released surveillance footage from January 2021 shows him walking with other Trump allies into a rural Georgia elections office, site of another breach of elections equipment.
And we, as usual, are left in the dark, mystified as to how this character wound up in Veterans Memorial Coliseum, spinning our UV-lighted 5G photographed ballots into a false narrative that something nefarious happened here.
Why did Fann hire Logan? She says she doesn’t know
There is a way to bring some light to the question. But it would require Arizona’s judges to show some backbone.
