Health system in talks to expand north Phoenix campus

Scottsdale-based HonorHealth has filed a rezoning application with the city of Phoenix to pave the way for an expansion of its Deer Valley Medical Center.

The 18.22-acre campus at the southwest corner of Interstate 17 and Loop 101 currently has a variety of different zonings, but the nonprofit health system is asking to rezone the entire campus to a planned unit development, or PUD, to allow for a consistent master site plan, according to documents on file with the city.
