Historic Phoenix photography building slated for redevelopment

A local real estate developer is planning to turn the decades-old Duke Photography building into a neighborhood market. (180 DESIGN + BUILD)

A Phoenix developer and architect firm are teaming up to reuse the former Duke Photography building in Phoenix and transform it into a neighborhood market for the surrounding community.

Aaron Klusman, the chairman and CEO of Gilbert-based Rivulet Media Inc., originally had plans to demolish the historically-significant building and develop a Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers on the nearly 1-acre site at the southwest corner of 7th Avenue and Thomas Road near the St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center and Phoenix College, the Arizona Republic first reported.
