Maricopa manager talks future use of Copper Sky

MARICOPA — A massive new development coming to land currently used for Copper Sky Regional Park will have consequences for many aspects of recreation in Maricopa.

The Maricopa Medical and Innovation campus is slated for a groundbreaking in March or April, taking up a significant portion of the southern part of Copper Sky, including the dog park, which is currently the only dog park run by the city.

The medical campus portion is 577,877 square feet with extended stay suites, a hospital and emergency room, medical offices, luxury lofts and physical therapy and sports psychology areas.
