CASA GRANDE — Mayor Craig McFarland and the City Council reached out Wednesday to tell their constituents what the city is doing in the annual State of the City event.

Included were Mayor Pro Tem Jeff Lavender and fellow Councilmembers Donna McBride, Lisa Navarro Fitzgibbons, Anthony Edwards, Bob Huddleston and Matt Herman, who said the city is in good shape.

McFarland outlined the city’s strategic plan via a six-point strategy at a packed Community Recreation Center. Attendees were entertained by the Casa Grande Union High School jazz band, and the council, police and fire departments all hosted information stalls in the foyer of the center on North Peart Road.
