Office condo plat OK’d in Mesa

By Richard Dyer | YourValley

A recently approved preliminary plat allows condominium ownership of the buildings and common elements of the Brown Road Pavilions east of Recker Road on the south side of Brown Road in Mesa.

The Mesa Planning and Zoning Board on Feb. 22 voted unanimously in a consent agenda with other items to approve the preliminary condominium plat for the existing office development.

The zoning designation for the site is office/commercial and small-scale offices are permitted by right, Planner Jennifer Merrill said at a study session prior to the meeting.

“The preliminary plat shows two units and each unit is comprised of one building. It includes the interior air space as well as the exterior walls of the building and the roof so that those buildings can be under single ownership,” she said. “There’s also one tract that’s proposed and the tract comprises the rest of the site including the landscaping, the parking areas — all of the shared areas of the site.”
