After three of the city’s top leaders left for other jobs or retired in the last few months, Peoria officials confirmed Katie Gregory, the last of the city’s three remaining deputy city managers, had been fired.
A cause was not provided to The Arizona Republic for Gregory’s dismissal.
Gregory’s firing comes after former City Manager Jeff Tyne announced in November he planned to retire. Deputy City Manager Erik Strunk also announced retirement at the same time, and Deputy City Manager Andrew Granger left Peoria to go work for Goodyear.
Strunk’s and Granger’s roles have been temporarily filled by police Chief Art Miller and Neighborhood and Human Services Director Chris Hallett, but the city has not announced permanent replacements.
