Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona (Habitat) announced that its annual Blueprints & Blue Jeans gala held this past weekend raised a record-breaking $508,618.56. The event, held at the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Paradise Valley – Scottsdale, saw a record-breaking 351 guests in attendance.
The gala, which is known for being a little less formal and a lot more fun, featured a silent auction/cocktail hour that was enhanced by a classically-trained pianist. Once inside the ballroom, guests were entertained by Valley legends, Nate Nathan & The MacDaddy-O’s. The “Fund the Future” paddle raise was further elevated this year thanks to a longtime, anonymous donor who agreed to match every donation made up to $100,000. Supporters were so moved by the work Habitat does each and every day that gifts made during the paddle raise totaled $114,850. Combined with the challenge gift, Habitat raised a record $214,850 to Fund the Future.
