Hopi-inspired boutique hotel breaks ground in Clarkdale

On Friday, April 21st at 1:00 p.m., Wespac Construction Inc., Flagstaff, broke ground on the Taawaki Inn, a 2-story, 44 room boutique hotel in Clarkdale, Arizona. Owned by Hopi Tribe Economic Development Corporation, the project is slated for completion in spring 2024. 

The hotel will be a modern accommodation that pays homage to the traditions of the Hopi people, as well as a welcome addition to the vibrant Clarkdale community. Designed by Smith Architects, Flagstaff, the 33,000 square foot hotel is located at the entry to Tuzigoot National Monument, just above the Verde River.

The Taawaki Inn will feature a culturally significant and educational component, as the hotel will reflect the Hopi culture.
