Buckeye battery plant has product delivery in sight

With an $850 million federal loan secured, KORE Power Inc. is looking at ramping up construction and production at a massive battery factory in Buckeye.

The facility, an advanced battery cell manufacturing plant at Baseline Road and State Route 85 is expected to begin delivering product by the end of 2024 or early 2025.

KORE Power Inc. received approval from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office for an $850 million loan under the Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing Loan Program that will go toward the construction of a 1.3 million-square-foot plant.
