Buckeye City Council sat down on Tuesday night to hear a couple of rezoning requests for future housing developments.
The approves could bring as many as 400 housing units to the city.
Before any rezoning requests were heard, resident Judy Mullins questioned the city’s plans for future housing developments that have been approved, particularly multifamily projects.
“To me the city must have a plan now to address the issue which is a questionable short-term trend, in my opinion being pitched to all of these cities jurisdictions in the West Valley… Maybe be an update, an amendment to the zoning districts established in the general plan and development code,” Mullins stated.
