Council selects 30-year Tempe employee as next city manager

The Tempe City Council voted Tuesday to appoint Rosa Inchausti as city manager.

Inchausti, the first female to hold the position Tempe’s history, had been serving as interim city manager following the departure of Andrew Ching this month.

Inchausti is a 30-year City of Tempe employee who recently served as the chief deputy city manager. 

“Her extensive experience and time with the city will be reflected in her decisive but thoughtful decision-making ability and her talent for connection with community members in solving tough problems,” Mayor Corey Woods said.
