Should there be a moratorium to halt the building of more corrals within town limits while the Town of Wickenburg studies its zoning codes? That question, and associated topics related to the recent boom in equine residents, was mulled over for about 45 minutes during the regular meeting of the town council Monday evening.
The ongoing discussion took off a couple of weeks ago during a joint meeting between Town Council and the Planning and Zoning Commission May 25. Town Council has hired a consultant, Matrix Design Group, to study the Town’s General Plan and Zoning Code and gather public input in route to possibly making changes to address the number of horses, cattle and corrals being built.
