Each of us deserves a little private time, an opportunity to relax, refill the tank, maybe get a little exercise.
That’s what Gov. Katie Hobbs was trying to do last week when she was accosted at the gym by a right-wing errand boy for the conspiracy website Gateway Pundit.
The creepy ersatz “journalist” followed Hobbs as she and her security detail walked out of the gym, filming Hobbs as he tailed her and yapping away like a rabid Pomeranian. The governor soldiered on until, at one point, a frustrated Hobbs bluntly and sassily said, “Give it a f—— rest, Jordan.”
It was perfect. And not only was it perfect for the moment, it seems to be the perfect new motto for Hobbs, the perfect battle cry, the perfect gubernatorial rebel yell, perfectly expressing how the governor is willing to operate.
