Florence is estimated to grow 22,207 in year-round population and 7,029 in seasonal population over the next 10 years, according to the firm hired to update the town’s development impact fees.

The Town Council Monday authorized staff to post a notice of intent to increase development impact fees and set a date for a public hearing on proposed amendments to the town’s infrastructure improvement plan and land use assumptions. Most of the town’s fees, however, are expected to decrease.

Carson Bise, president of TischlerBise Inc., told the council it can expect 11,480 more single-family houses and 1,124 new apartments over the next decade. There will also be 1.8 million square feet of non-residential construction and 4,670 new jobs.
