In just a matter of weeks, EVR Porter will begin welcoming its first tenants.

The 194-unit townhome complex at Porter and Bowlin roads showed off its progress Friday morning. Developer El Dorado Holdings is wrapping up construction on its first few rental homes, said construction director Adam Walter.

“Right now, we’re on track to open up our first home in September and have it leased,” Walter said. “It will be really exciting for us.”

Previously known as REV@Porter, the gated community will be composed of one-, two- and three-bedroom units with enclosed backyards. Homes will feature 11-foot ceilings and smart home devices, such as a video doorbell and thermostat.

Innovative features won’t stop there. Each of the buildings are constructed of HercuWalls, a green alternative to traditional wood-frame construction.
