Kingman motel will be converted into affordable housing

Housing for Hope, an affiliate of Catholic Charities Community Services, has received $4.5 million in funding commitment to purchase and convert a motel in Kingman, Ariz. into affordable, transitional housing for those experiencing extreme poverty and homelessness. The grant was allocated by the Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH) State Fiscal Recovery Funds from the American Rescue Plan (SFRF-ARP). The program is in response to the disproportionate impact caused by the COVID-19 public health emergency and funds the conversion of hotel units into transitional bridge housing for homeless individuals and families.
