Legacy Sports Park owners propose venue buyout timeline

The owners of the 320-acre Legacy Sports Park in Mesa are hoping to have someone lined up to buy the youth and amateur sporting complex out of bankruptcy by Oct. 3, according to documents filed recently in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.

Legacy Cares, the nonprofit entity that owns Legacy Sports Park, filed a motion with Judge Daniel Collins detailing the proposed acquisition process for the park and a timeline. The court has set a hearing for Aug. 31, for any parties objecting to the sale motion.
