McBride announces intent to run for CG mayor

CASA GRANDE — Councilmember Donna McBride has announced her intent to run for mayor of Casa Grande in the 2024 election cycle, filing paperwork at City Hall early on Thursday morning.

The position will become vacant in late 2024 as current Mayor Craig McFarland is completing the four-term limit.

McBride, who is currently serving her second term as a councilmember, told PinalCentral that the time was right to tell the community of her intent to run.

“I feel now is the time for me to come out and let the people of Casa Grande know that I am truly interested in continuing to serve our citizens,” she said.

McBride said she is determined to see continued economic growth for the city and pledged to work hard in maintaining and preserving the tight-knit feel of the city.
