ARIZONA CITY — After countless hours of work from volunteers and community members, an Arizona City resident has a place she can call home.

Habitat for Humanity recently completed a new home on the 14000 block of Acapulco Road in Arizona City for a woman named Jolene, a single mother who always had a dream of owning a home.

Habitat for Humanity and Pinal County leaders were on hand at an unveiling ceremony for the home. Assistant Director of Sponsor Relations Andrea Northup called it a “special day,” celebrating the new home.

“It had been a long time coming, Jolene had so much support,” Northup said. “She had provided food for everyone, which is not mandatory. To see her so moved and to express that gratitude was really special.”
