(PHOENIX) – Vestar, one of the leading privately held shopping center owners and managers in the western United States, announced today the hiring of Carli Richards for the position of Director of Communications, effective immediately.
In her role, Richards will be responsible for leading the company’s corporate and media relations strategy for its portfolio of new and existing properties, while promoting the Vestar brand on both the national and local level. The role, which was created in response to the company’s recent growth cycle includes the new wave of ground up developments. Richards will also work closely with executive leadership to establish strategic programming that will support all areas of the business as they continue to scale.
Richards joins Vestar with more than ten years of experience in public relations, previously for various fashion brands and agencies, including H&M Group and most recently Fabletics, the active wear company co-founded by Kate Hudson.

Throughout her career, Richards has touched many facets of publicity including corporate communications, talent relations, influencer marketing, event production and philanthropic partnerships. During her time at Fabletics, Richards rolled out the brand’s retail expansion strategy for more than 75 new store locations, globally.

Richards graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. She is a California native and relocated to Phoenix, Arizona in 2022, where she currently resides with her husband.
