Brooklyn Bedding’s recently opened manufacturing facility at 5301 W. Bethany Home Road in Glendale may signify more for the area than a name brand investing more than $70 million.
Glendale city officials have reason to believe the 648,165-square-foot building — valued at nearly $71.6 million, according to Maricopa County records — will serve as a catalyst for retail and commercial development to an older area of the city bisected by Grand Avenue.
Brooklyn Bedding planted its new factory and corporate headquarters, where construction started in February 2021, in a new city but close to its former main factory at 45th Avenue and Camelback Road in Phoenix. It fits in an industrial section south of the downtown corridor and on the other side of Grand from the Sanderson Ford and Sands Chevrolet.
