PulteGroup Inc. received Florence Town Council approval for its final plat request in Anthem at Merrill Ranch that will subdivide more than 42 acres into 159 residential lots.

The council’s action took place at its Monday meeting. The item was on the council’s consent agenda. Items on the consent agenda are approved or rejected with one vote unless a council member or member of the public asks that an item be removed for a separate discussion or vote.

The requested plat received preliminary approval from the Florence Planning and Zoning Commission in August.

Called Unit 30B, the plat lies within the Sun City portion of the Anthem at Merrill Ranch development and is generally east of Hunt Highway and south of Franklin Road, according to a staff report.
